Founder & Director TANGO CANADA ACADEMY
Sudhir Gandhi, Principal Coach and Founder of Tango Canada Academy, holds the prestigious Canadian Dancesport Federation (CDF) Fellowship and has also demonstrated exceptional mastery in teaching authentic Argentine Tango
Fellowship in Argentine Tango is the highest level of professional teaching accreditation awarded by the Canadian Dancesport Federation (CDF) in Canada.
His experience spans years of showcase performances, professional demonstrations, and competitive achievements, including strong placements and titles at Argentine Tango national and international competitions across North America—most notably at the Canadian Open Professional Showdance Championships.
Attaining Fellowship requires successfully completing three progressive levels—Associate, Licentiate, and finally Fellowship—with a mandatory minimum one-year gap between each level. Candidates must undergo rigorous technical examinations and demonstrate artistry, musicality, and the ability to dance and teach both as Leader and Follower, across different Argentine Tango styles and musical interpretations.
Sudhir has achieved this elite milestone and is among a select group of highly accomplished and accredited Argentine Tango professionals in Canada
Sudhir is the visionary founder and director of Tango Canada Academy, bringing over 30 years of global corporate leadership experience with transnational organizations, alongside an unwavering passion for dance that has spanned decades and continents.
Initially immersed in the world of Club-Style dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Hustle, Sudhir’s journey took a transformative turn nearly 20 years ago when he discovered the profound artistry of Argentine Tango. Captivated by its mesmerizing musicality, real-time improvisation, and deep emotional connection, he committed himself to mastering this exquisite dance form.
With relentless dedication, Sudhir has honed his technical expertise and artistic expression in Argentine Tango and its styles—Tango, Vals, and Milonga—pursuing professional training, international certifications, and competitive excellence.
